I logged in my blog after a long time. Due to more work and busy schedule I could not post any thread/comment for long time.

Today I was studying some articles online and some autobiography of some historical persons.

I got excited to write my views and comment after the studying articles.

Now these days I am enjoying my life with my family. I had gone (Last Sunday – September 7, 2008) to visit Agra (Taj Mahal) with my family. That was a very nice and beautiful place. Me, My Mother and my younger Brother “Sujeet Mani Mishra” Alias “Deepu”. We also visit to Agara’s Red Fort, Vrindavan and Mathura. Now we are planning to go “Vaishno Devi” in next week.

He was a great and down-to-earth person. I regard him today posthumously.

The Secret Sauce of Google Success http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2008/01/28/the-secret-sauce-of-google-success http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2008/01/28/the-secret-sauce-of-google-success What do you need to get top rankings on Google? There are many ingredients in the mix, but here are three of the most important that you need to concentrate on.

1.) Keyword Relevant Copy and Content.

Whatever the keywords you want to get ranked in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs), be sure that you have enough copy and content about those specific words which will give Google a reason to rank you in the first place.

If for example, one of your priority keywords is "virtual assistant software", create a separate page or section for this keyword (at least a few paragraphs) using the keyword in the headline, the first sentence, the last sentence as well as wherever it makes logical sense in order to achieve the keyword frequency and "density" that search engines are looking for. Ideally, each page will only have one or two keywords and will be very focused on that specific topic.

Additionally, by including on this specific keyword page either articles, pdf files or news items about your keyword, it will help you improve your chances of a better ranking. Give Google a reason to rank you at the top. He with the most relevant copy wins - so make it rich and deep.

2.) Can the Search Engines Read and "Crawl" All the Pages and Content on Your Site?

Probably the biggest surprise to most marketers is that the search engines are unable to either navigate or read most of the content on their website. If they can't read your copy, then it's not surprising that you're not getting the rankings or traffic to your website that you aspire to.

The only thing a search engine can read is words. Sites that are dynamic, or created in other formats such as Flash or Java often can't be read by the search engines. Even if they can read the content on your site, many times they can't navigate it properly or just bounce "off the walls" as there are no specific links or site map to tell the proper sequence or where to go next.

Want to see what Google is indexing on your website? Go to Google and type in: site:www.yourdomain.com . This will show you the title and description of the pages of your site they know about. If they are all the same or they don't have a title or description listed, chances are very good that your site is invisible to your target market.

3) Links... Why Are They So Important?

Link popularity is one of the most important factors search engines use in determining where you will rank in the search engine for your keywords and phrases, as it helps them to determine how important or popular your site is and what it's reputation is. In essence the search engines are saying "we're going to give top ranking to pages that have important and relevant sites linking to them".

Link Building is the process of finding related/relevant websites and receiving a link from them to you. Natural linking occurs when a site has good content that others will link to. But to get these links people have to know about you. It is a catch 22. Building links has gotten sophisticated in the last couple of years. Today you need a mixture of links from many sources including articles, press releases, social bookmarks, directories and social media sites.

How many links do you need to have? It depends on the individual keyword or phrase you want to be found under and how the links are structured. The search engines look at inbound links as a popularity contest but more importantly, they are looking at the quality of the pages that are linking to you and the "anchor text" - the "clickable link" and what it says about the page that it links to. The key to linking is to have the right anchor text on a link that points to a page that has content using the same keyword phrase.

You do not want to boost the overall number of links by more than 10-15% each month for an established site with history because this may trigger a filter from the search engines as an indicator of artificially inflated link popularity. New sites have an advantage since there has not been a history established and the link building can be done at a faster rate. Linking is critical not only with your search engine placement, but also because it helps stabilize you positions in the search engines and delivers traffic directly from the sites that link to you. But linking is not a once and you are done process. Generating new links is an ongoing process.

In summary, successfully implementing the above 3 strategies either through your efforts or through employing search engine promotion specialists will deliver the "triple punch" and the knockout punch you need to get top rankings on Google and the other search engines as well.

How to Troubleshoot Dropped Search Engine Rankings http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2008/01/28/how-to-troubleshoot-dropped-search-engine-rankings http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2008/01/28/how-to-troubleshoot-dropped-search-engine-rankings Are you baffled about a recent drop in your search engine rankings? Do you know where to start and get a handle on what the problem might be and how to remedy it? One option to consider is using search engine forums as a resource. They are full of questions from people who have experienced similar situations and are great resources for an answer or two. But let's say you really want to get to the bottom of the problem and you want to do it yourself. The following are some of the beginning steps StepForth takes when evaluating dropped rankings.

Retrace Your Steps

Write a list of everything that anyone has done to your site within the past 3 weeks. Now look for anything that could have negatively impacted your content, site structure, or the reliability of your URLs. Once you write down the course of events the answer might pop right out at you. Here are some common situational culprits:

  • You just moved your website to a different hosting provider: did your site experience much, if any, downtime during the switch over? Quality hosting companies will allow you to setup your site on their servers before the switch takes place so that downtime is minimized if not removed entirely. If a search engine happened to visit your site while it was down, there is a small chance your rankings would be negatively affected, but it will only happen for a short period. Once the search engine re-indexes your website everything should be back in order.

  • The structure of your site has permanently changed: did you redirect the traffic from the old URLs to the new URLs using a 301 redirect? If not, then you should. A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect which tells any visiting search engine to permanently change its index to reflect the new site structure.
  • Contact your hosting company to check if your server has had any downtime recently. In most cases search engines will not drop your rankings if they visit your site and it is offline once; however, if this happens consistently then your rankings can fail. If your hosting company states that downtime has occurred, then you have at least one possible answer for your ranking woes. As long as your site is now reliably online and has not been offline for an extended period (days or weeks) the rankings should reappear as your site is re-indexed. There may be a notable drop in rankings but, in most cases, they will return to pre-incident status.

Check Your Content

Is all of your textual content up to date? It is amazing just how quickly a website's rankings can drop when someone accidentally overwrites optimized pages with older, non-optimized pages. Check the content and if you find old content, just overwrite it with the newer content and wait for the search engines to come back and re-index your website; Google and Yahoo are likely to come back within a week or even a day.

Check Your Server Headers

When a search engine visits your website it must first respond to any commands provided by your server. These commands are often identifiable in the server header. As a result, we like to verify that no incorrect, unusual or unnecessary commands are stashed in the header of your site. We use the free SEO Consultants Check Server Headers Tool to review any headers and take action if required, but there are others freely available as well.

Search Engine Webmaster Tool Resources

If you have not already done so, I strongly recommend claiming your website on Yahoo Site Explorer, Google Webmaster Central and Live Search Webmaster Center . Each of these fine resources provides extremely useful feedback (from each respective search engine's perspective) for site owners such as:

  • Whether your site is currently banned. If you are, in some cases they will tell you why.
  • Notes on any impediments the search engine has experienced when trying to index your website.
  • Who is linking to your website.
  • Which pages are the most popular on your website.
  • Which keywords lead the most traffic to your website.

In addition, these free webmaster resources allow you to submit an XML sitemap of your website so that you can ensure no pages are missed when the search engines index your website.

Search Your Site for SPAM

It is possible that your site has been "lucky" enough not to have been penalized until now for certain content transgressions. You see, search engines don't always catch SPAM right away. In fact, I occasionally find myself shaking my head in disbelief when I see blatantly spammy sites appearing in the top 10 search results. Your site may not be entirely spammy but all it takes is for one transgression to come to light for a search engine to penalize your search engine rankings. What SPAM is and how to identify it is an article unto itself so here are some helpful resources for you to review:

Contact an SEO or Request a Forum Review

If you haven't found a reasonable answer after following the instructions above I would recommend either contacting a reputable SEO company for advice or posting your ranking problems publicly on a popular search marketing forum within a resource like Webmaster World. There are a lot of people on forums that can be incredibly helpful and may have an answer for you. But a word to the wise, make sure the person providing advice has a solid reputation. I strongly recommend reviewing a number of their previous posts and Googling them to ensure they have suitable experience to provide advice – unless of course you have a 'no duh' moment where their advice makes perfect sense.

10 ways to Increse Pages Indexed http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2008/01/28/10-ways-to-increse-pages-indexed http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2008/01/28/10-ways-to-increse-pages-indexed For a while now webmasters have fretted over why all of the pages of their website are not indexed. As usual there doesn't seem to be any definite answer. But some things are definite, if not automatic, and some things seem like pretty darn good guesses.

Editor's Note: If you know a good way to increase the number, or are certain (or can guess) of a way to get all of a website's pages crawled, then please join the conversation by letting us know in the comments section.

So, we scoured the forums, blogs, and Google's own guidelines for increasing the number of pages Google indexes, and came up with our (and the community's) best guesses. The running consensus is that a webmaster shouldn't expect to get all of their pages crawled and indexed, but there are ways to increase the number.

PageRank

It depends a lot on PageRank. The higher your PageRank the more pages that will be indexed. PageRank isn't a blanket number for all your pages. Each page has its own PageRank. A high PageRank gives the Googlebot more of a reason to return. Matt Cutts confirms, too, that a higher PageRank means a deeper crawl.

Links

Give the Googlebot something to follow. Links (especially deep links) from a high PageRank site are golden as the trust is already established.

Internal links can help, too. Link to important pages from your homepage. On content pages link to relevant content on other pages.

Sitemap

A lot of buzz around this one. Some report that a clear, well-structured Sitemap helped get all of their pages indexed. Google's Webmaster guidelines recommends submitting a Sitemap file, too:

· Tell us all about your pages by submitting a Sitemap file; help us learn which pages are most important to you and how often those pages change.

That page has other advice for improving crawlability, like fixing violations and validating robots.txt.

Some recommend having a Sitemap for every category or section of a site.

Speed

A recent O'Reilly report indicated that page load time and the ease with which the Googlebot can crawl a page may affect how many pages are indexed. The logic is that the faster the Googlebot can crawl, the greater number of pages that can be indexed.

This could involve simplifying the structures and/or navigation of the site. The spiders have difficulty with Flash and Ajax. A text version should be added in those instances.

Google's crawl caching proxy

Matt Cutts provides diagrams of how Google's crawl caching proxy at his blog. This was part of the Big Daddy update to make the engine faster. Any one of three indexes may crawl a site and send the information to a remote server, which is accessed by the remaining indexes (like the blog index or the AdSense index) instead of the bots for those indexes physically visiting your site. They will all use the mirror instead.

Verify

Verify the site with Google using the Webmaster tools.

Content, content, content

Make sure content is original. If a verbatim copy of another page, the Googlebot may skip it. Update frequently. This will keep the content fresh. Pages with an older timestamp might be viewed as static, outdated, or already indexed.

Staggered launch

Launching a huge number of pages at once could send off spam signals. In one forum, it is suggested that a webmaster launch a maximum of 5,000 pages per week.

Size matters

If you want tens of millions of pages indexed, your site will probably have to be on an Amazon.com or Microsoft.com level.

Know how your site is found, and tell Google

Find the top queries that lead to your site and remember that anchor text helps in links. Use Google's tools to see which of your pages are indexed, and if there are violations of some kind. Specify your preferred domain so Google knows what to index.

How To Get Motivated To Be Outrageously Successful In 2008 http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2007/12/28/how-to-get-motivated-to-be-outrageously-successful-in-2008 http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2007/12/28/how-to-get-motivated-to-be-outrageously-successful-in-2008

With the right sales motivation, you can become as successful as you want to be!

However, you must come to grips with this fact. If you aren't outrageously successful at this moment, thinking about it won't make it happen.

This is an especially busy time of the year for most of us, I know it is for me. I'm looking at where I've been this year, where I am at this moment, and where I want to be at the end of 2008.

Here is a short list of things you can do to make 2008 your best year ever in sales:

1. Analyze what worked for you during 2007.

2. Likewise - analyze what didn't work for you during 2007.

3. Establish personal and professional goals in writing for 2008 - goal-setting is critical for sales success.

4. Put these goals on a white board in your office - the bigger the white board the better.

5. Create action plans for all goals with specific completion dates - these dates should be added to your electronic calendar.

6. Call your biggest and best customers and thank them, again, for their business.

7. Get the biggest trash can liner you can find and toss away everything that isn't absolutely essential to your success. Go through your office, your car, and your briefcase.

8. Ask yourself, "What is holding you back?" It's a serious question which deserves some serious thought.

9. Ask your sales manager what his priorities are for 2008. Don't assume you know what they are. Listen carefully to his response.

10. You should also ask your best customers the same question.

11. Allocate 30 minutes a day to reading about your profession - okay listening to CDs is acceptable. This requires discipline. You will become an expert and a giant in your industry if you do this. If you don't, you'll just be in step with the mediocrity brigade.

12. Get involved with a mastermind group which means starting one if you have to. My group, Masters Speakers International, of course we had to give it a sexy name, has been meeting four times a year for 10 years. My time with this group of talented people has made a huge difference in my life and in my business.

13. I can't tell you how many e-mails I receive saying, "as soon as I start making more money, I'm going to start buying some of your products." Unfortunately, good intentions won't make you outrageously successful. Investing in yourself is a requirement, not something that depends on your income. Your personal business Library is a good predictor of your future success. You can't put a price on a good idea. And it takes a steady stream of good ideas to become outrageously successful.

14. Here's another sales tip - don't try to do everything yourself. You'd be absolutely amazed at what you can outsource for a very reasonable price. The next time you have a small project you wish you could give to somebody else, go to www.elance.com and see what they can do for you. You just might be surprised!

15. Finally, it's impossible to be good at everything. If there is something that you are not good at and you need to be good at it, for Pete's sake hire a sales coach. A good sales coach won't cost you anything. Yup, a good coach doesn't cost, he pays. A good coach can help convert your sales weaknesses into sales strengths.

It sad but true, not everybody wants to be outrageously successful.

Some people don't want to be accountable for their results - they prefer a pity party. Some people prefer mediocrity over superiority.

Some people postpone living to sometime in the future, when in fact the only time we are guaranteed is today.

We live in a great country, we really do. Sure things aren't always hunky-dory. But you sure do have to admit that America has unlimited opportunities for those who have desire, focus, ** discipline **, commitment, passion, and a great deal of enthusiasm for life and for business.

Van VanBebber says, in The Wall Street Journal, "We should all save and study more, and spend and weigh less." That's pretty good advice as we head into the New Year.

His advice, however, requires a great deal of self-discipline. Becoming outrageously successful also requires a great deal of self-discipline.

Do you have what it takes to do what it takes to become outrageously successful?

How Much Do You Know About Web Site Conversion? http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2007/12/28/how-much-do-you-know-about-web-site-conversion http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2007/12/28/how-much-do-you-know-about-web-site-conversion

Do you even know if your web site converts? Well, believe it or not web site conversion is about taking analytics and the statistic or information from your files and programs, then using them to help your visitors find what they are looking for on your web site. It guides them to do certain things while they are on your site. Like a navigational system.

Things like buying your products or reading information you might have listed on your web site for instance. Or to get them to sign up for email newsletters the opportunities are endless obviously.

Internet web site conversion simply put, allows you to show your visitors all about your web site, what its about, products and information, then in turn asks them to give you information to send them special offers or newsletters via email or regular mail. In a big way, you find out exactly what it is your customers are looking for and what it is they would like to see on your web site. Products, information, sales, whatever the case might be.

By getting your site to convert and give reasonable style with measurable return on your investing in your website it's the best way you could possibly operate your business online.

By using website conversion nine out of ten web site clients see at least double digit growth using the conversion platform. This is definitely a good standard for the web site if it is just starting out and beginning to grow.

Web site conversion isn't difficult though you might not understand it, some people will use different companies on the Internet to help them with the web site conversion for a fee, which is perfectly normal. They often times explain how the web site conversion is going to work and how in the long term view of things benefit your web site as you start to see the growth and the generation of visitors to your web site. As well as returning visitors to your web site.

They encourage the probability of introducing new products or information on your web site for those returning visitors as well as the generated traffic that has never been to your web site. Either way both are an investment.

Web site conversion simplifies all the different areas you might not be familiar with starting out with a new web site and these companies can provide you with information or perhaps even help you on your web site conversion and all that pertains to getting that task accomplished.

However, for some people they are content with the generation of traffic they are already receiving through the use of Internet advertisements, and banners, but the web site conversion isn't really about this, its more on the selling power of your web site and the returning customers that will come back to your web site.

More web sites are doing the web site conversion with the help of different companies simply because of the turn out they see on other web sites. These web sites and affiliates know the program and how it operates, if you are unsure do a bit of research as well as talk to those who know about web site conversion.

Achieving Organic Search Engine Optimization http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2007/12/26/achieving-organic-search-engine-optimization http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2007/12/26/achieving-organic-search-engine-optimization

When it comes to difficulty, organic search engine optimization is really not that difficult. There are a couple things that you should implement on your website and the link building is not all that hard to understand. You need to remember not to use unethical means to obtain links to your site so knowing the right way is vital. One way to get many links to your website is by obtaining them from other sites that are relevant to your niche by developing unique content for them to link to.

Search engine optimization is a process that is ever changing and evolving. With every day something new comes to the table, a new method of organic SEO. This changing information is what you need to stay in tune with in order to stay ahead of your competition. A good way to stay on top of this is through forums, news developments that are related to the niche, newsletters and networking within your niche.

Search engines need to see the relevance and importance of your site within your niche. Make sure that your site is easily accessible and navigable by the search engines. You want them to be able to explore the content of your website deeply. To facilitate that you need to design it in a manner that allows the search engine robots to easily get follow through the network of you site to explore the content.

A newer method of designing websites uses a cascading sheet style that is more transparent to robots which makes it easier for robots to read the content. But don't forget that you need to have optimized content there for the robots to read. The content should have keywords that are relevant to your niche that the spiders can feed on. The more they see your sites relevance to your niche, the higher they will place you in the search engines. Content and keywords will get you to the top of the search results. That is where any site that does business on the web wants to be

If you don't have a thorough understanding of how to best implement organic SEO techniques there are companies that can assist you with it. A professional will be able to assist with the generation of content that is unique to your niche and bring visitors to your website.

Hiring a professional is not absolutely necessary though. If you have a knack for writing and are well versed on your industry you can easily generate interesting articles that other interested web surfers would want to read.

Keep in mind that you should understand prior to writing the content what words and topics that you really want to emphasize.

They need to be within the content of your site for the spiders to read and understand the relevance to your topic.

Whichever method you use be diligent in the pursuit of your goal. That is being top internet resource for the niche you're serving.

Meaning of NAVRATRI http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2007/10/15/meaning-of-navratri http://amitmishra.nireblog.com/post/2007/10/15/meaning-of-navratri

Navaratri

NAVA’ means ‘nine’ and ‘Ratri’ is made up of ‘Ra’ which also means ‘night’ and ‘Tri’ meaning the ‘the three aspects of our life, Body, Mind and Soul.  So ‘NAVARATRI’ means ‘giving rest to all the three aspects of our life, for nine days’.

The first three days of NAVARATRI, are ‘Tamasic’ days, followed by three ‘Rajasic’ days and ending with three ‘Sattvic’ days.  At night, all the artis are performed for the Devi - the enjoyer of everything.  So there is classical dance, music and various musical instruments being played. Each day has special implications, yagnas, poojas and homas are performed.

Among the things offered to the fire are hundreds of different herbs, fruits, garments, and mantras, all creating a gloriously divine atmosphere to drown in?  Our ancestors felt the inadequacy of words and so they expressed themselves with symbols … for instance, we offer flowers and fruit to God.  The ‘flower’ is a symbol of what we are - so full, attractive and so light - so beautiful. Fruits are symbols of completeness.  In the life cycle of a plant, fruits signify completeness. Also the fruit is the ultimate result.  That is how we feel when we offer the symbolic fruit to God with all the gratitude for contentment in life.

We also light lamps. Indian tradition involves tall brass lamps with a swan carved at the top.  This is a very beautiful symbol. It means that with the light of knowledge, one attains ‘Viveka’ a characteristic of the swan. In Sanskrit, it is called ‘Neerakshiraviveka’ meaning a swan can differentiate between milk and water even though both may be mixed.

Similarly, in the context of NAVARATRI, there is a symbolism behind the ‘bull’ being destroyed by the ‘Devi’.  What do we call someone who is very dull, thick skinned and insensitive? A buffalo!  Only the Mother Divine can destroy this buffalo with the collective energy of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh!  Just as a baby takes nine months to be born, the Devi took nine days to rest and what was born on the tenth day was pure love and devotion, with which the Devi conquered the buffalo of inertia and dullness! Devi Ma is not somebody holding a big ‘trishool’ in one hand. She is a form of energy, a manifestation of the Divine itself. Therefore, sometimes, the forms taken by this Divine may be that of Ganesha, Chandi (Devi), Vishnu, Shiva….. and the manifestation, in this creation, happens in a mother’s womb…. in silence, secretly.  So during these nine days of NAVARATRI when the Master goes into silence, the energy is in the process of getting more and more refined, well-tuned, to welcome the Mother Divine. This is called ‘Aradhana’.

Ninth day is a day for honoring everything that we have, no matter how seemingly insignificant, and the tenth day is ‘Vijaya Dashmi’ the ‘victory day’.  It is only after we have honored something that we can gain victory over it. This day is celebrated as the victory of the Devi over the evil forces – which is also just ‘Maya’.

The festival of NAVRATRI lasts for nine nights. According to the Hindu calendar NAVRATRI celebration begins from the first day of the bright fortnight of Ashwin. This festival is fully dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga Mata and her nine forms. These nine days are celebrated in all over the country with an ardent zeal and enthusiasm. The devotees all over India celebrate the last three days with much solemnity, calm and joy. But on the tenth day, Dussehra or Vijayadashmi
